4d. Participating in the Professional Community

I had the opportunity to teach students in grades K-2 during a career day at Excel Charter School.

As noted below, I presented alongside Cristina Marte & Laura de la Garza Noble at the annual Dance New Jersey Festival (2021). We presented dance educators with new ideas to apply when delivering content in the classroom. This presentation was created in response to challenges faced due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

This conference was an eye-opening opportunity for me as I deepened my understanding of advocacy, content knowledge, social justice, and pedagogical skills. The National Dance Education Organization has encouraged me to be the change I wish to see in the world.
